The purpose of this course is to help prepare individuals intending to take the Qualified SWPPP Practitioner and Qualified SWPPP Designer (QSP/QSD) Exam proctored by Regional Water Boards at separately scheduled events.
Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) Review Course
This is a review of material in the CPESC Study Guide for those preparing for the exam. CPESC certification is intended for those planning to develop and review permits as well as design, review, install and inspect E&SCH and drainage plans. Other activities may include assisting regulators, writing handbooks, and educating the public. This would include engineering and outreach staff.
Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) Review Course
This is a review of material in the CESSWI Study Guide for those preparing for the exam. CESSWI certification is intended for those planning to conduct inspections and document compliance and non-compliance issues. This would include municipal inspectors who are checking for compliance with approved storm water pollution prevention plans.
EnviroTech NPDES Certification Review and Training Course
This training course provides information on proper BMP installation, critical components for establishing vegetation, hydraulically applied erosion control materials and application skills, reading plans and specifications, estimating material quantity needs, dewatering etc. The course will be of benefit to site superintendents, designated employees, subcontractors, inspectors and SWPPP developers. Certificates of completion are issued for those needing to satisfy requirements for formal training. Individuals with experience installing BMPs can apply for and may be granted permission to sit for the exam and be certified EnviroTech NPDES.

The WPCM must comply with the Permit qualifications for a QSP and a QSD in addition to receiving Department approved stormwater management training such as this course.
Sampling and Analysis
The ETS SAMPLING Course is intended to support the QSP and designated employees with permit compliance for sampling and analysis, and data management on construction sites. The Course focuses on Sampling and Analysis for pH, non-stormwater, non-visible, turbidity, etc. Scenarios are processed for meter calibration/use, decontamination, grab samples, analysis, QA/QC, working with labs, etc.
Calculator Course
The ETS CALCULATOR Course is of value for those who are preparing to take the Exam for the EnviroTech NPDES BMP Installer Certification (ETSBMPI) and the Certified Professional in Erosion Sediment Control (CPESC). Basic algebraic calculations are used on Runoff, Erosion and Sediment Control scenarios. Solutions are made in units for material, area, time, weight, cost, elevation, slope angle, pure live seed, runoff, hydroseeding tank capacity, etc. The Course is also intended to provide additional support for inspectors, estimators, etc. who’s work involves these related calculations.
